![]() I quickly set up an old PC whitebox with a spare NIC from like 10 years ago and got everyone running again for now. Then the first office's firewall device's SSD fried last week, disconnecting everyone. ![]() It especially happens if a user drops by the office and tries to work or the other way around. As a terrible workaround, I gave each user a batch file on their desktop to restart the OpenVPN service, which regains their connection. I've also had problems with their connections becoming unstable. The Internet on those remote laptops slowed a lot, but I figured it was because of the encryption. When COVID hit, 10 users started working offsite, so we bought laptops, and I installed the OpenVPN client on each of their laptops. At one end, there are only 2 users, but phones and network traffic is tunneled to the first location.
